What else can you do to help?
1. Spread the word. Send a link to this website to people you know who are interested in helping to insure that all children get an equal access to education.
2. Volunteer. As Skip walks across America, we'll be setting up work days and projects at some of the schools along the way. The projects we envision might include making repairs to the school, painting, book fairs and other fund raisers. When Skip comes to town, volunteer to help. If Skip doesn't come to your town, find out how you can help your local elementary, middle or high school and volunteer there.
3. Walk with Skip. You or someone you know might like to share a small portion of Skip's journey with him. He should have some interesting stories and he'd love to have some company.
4. Help out by driving part of his route. He's carrying a lot of stuff. If you would like to accompany him and transport some of his gear, that would be a real help.
5. Host Skip for an evening. On Skip's trek he's spending most of his nights camping here and there. If you have a sofa bed you don't mind sharing, he'd appreciate it.
